Pedernales Falls State Park. This is a beautiful park only about 30 minutes away. There are hiking trails, a beautiful falls area, springs and the river itself. There are at least 3 swimming areas: Bee Creek (which we visit if there is water), the main swimming area, which has (usually) gentle, rocky rapids and the youth-group area which has a sandy beach, deep, still water and a rope swing..
Today was so hot. I had water; it was warm, but I drank it anyway. When we finally got to the water, I ran in because I was so hot. I did rafting two times. Then I swam and did the rope swing. It was fun. Sarah
Today was so much fun. I kept being a "salmon" and would go upstream. Then I went on a rope swing. Alex
Today was really fun. I hurt myself a couple of times on the rocks. I went on a rope swing and jumped into the water. Kodi
Today was really fun. I hung out with Summer, Jenna and Molly, which was cool. The only bad thing is the sand was really hot. Nora

Take 290 West for about 30 miles and turn right onto FM 3232.
