Comal River: The coolest, shortest, prettiest river around. It's only 3 miles long, but it is beautiful, clear and packed with fun. We go to an area that used to be called Camp Warneke before Schlitterbahn bought it for expansion. Schlitterbahn still allows people to pay to play just in this part. 3/4 of the river is dammed, causing the water to rush through and form rapids below the dam. You can tube or just float down, jump off the dam, play in the pool, hot tub or sand volleyball court.
Today we went to Schlitterbahn by the rapids. We would swim to this dam and then dive into the rapids and try to hang onto the hole at the bottom. Most of the time I held onto the hole. One time I jumped and grabbed it and somebody else held onto the rocks. This was the best day of the week. Cameron
Today was fun. We went to the Comal River. We went down rapids and I cut my foot. I jumped on the big tube. It rocked. I love this camp! Etienne
Today when we went to the Comal River it was COOL! I like it there; it's fast, dangerous and water (come on, that's all ya need to have fun!) Smadar

The entrance is around the corner from the Surfenburg and Blastenhoff part of Schlitterbahn. Schlitterbahn calls it "The Resort at the rapids." Take IH 35 South to New Braunfels. Exit # 189, Loop 337 and turn right. Go about a mile and turn left on Common Street (Exxon station on the corner). Go about a mile or so and turn left on Union Street. Go to the end and turn right (on the corner of Blastenoff). Go about a block and turn right into the "Resort at the Rapids" parking lot.
