City Park (Emma Long Park): Very cold water, but it has an excellent sandy beach, a large shallow area and a dock to jump off. It's especially fun when boats drive by and make waves.
There was a lot of fun stuff to do and that's what we did like swim, play games, hike, dive, race, dive. I liked everything. Kevin
I had a great time at the lake. I had a lot of fun with the tubes. I saw someone get stuck in a mud hole. I even had a raft race. Quenton
Today I went to City Park. We went on a hike and then went to the lake. We ate lunch and put on sunscreen and then we played a game called, "I have never..." It was so fun listening to people and laughing at what they said. Then I swam in the coldest water ever! It took a while for me to get used to it, but then I dove in and got freezing cold! After a while my body got numb and it felt OK. I swam for a while, then I got out and started digging in the sand. I built a sand castle and helped bury a guy. Then I helped bury another guy, who got stuck and it took time to pull him out, but we got him. I had so much fun at City Park. I hope to go back some day. Monica
